A look at China's consumers

Qingfei Min , Shaobo Ji, A meta-analysis of Mobile Commerce Research in China (2002 2006), International Journal of Mobile Communications, v.6 n.3, p.390-403, March 2008

In an article I read called: A meta-analysis of Mobile Commerce Research in China (2002 2006)

They talk about how China has the largest network of mobile phone users in the world, a research was was conducted to see this phenomenon.

Dai,H; Palvi, PC. (2009)Mobile commerce adoption in China and the United States: a cross-cultural study. Communications of the ACM,40(4)43-61

in Mobile commerce adoption in China and the United States: a cross-cultural study, they talk more about the cultural settings of both China and US: both consumers enjoy privacy, innovativeness, value-added, usefulness, ease of use and compatibility.

Chinese consumers have a higher concern for m-commerce costs.

This article is relevant to my research in a sense that I can understand how Chinese behave and what they expect when they are using phones, they are nonetheless different from us, however, I have a concern is that if more cell phones are put into different rural areas, there might be a need to "train" and "teach" villagers how to use those different features in order for them to find those mobile devices: useful and easy to use.
